  Dorchester Poundbury Weymouth Penthouse Weymouth Our houses are made from sustainable sourced slow grown fir that is treated with oil based wood preserver before sale and if continued to be treated yearly will give years of good service. Though innovative in design all interior parts of the house are easily removed to enable easy cleaning and any required treatment of mite and lice. Our aim is to make a hen house that can be quickly and easily cleaned and that all areas of the hen house are visible and reachable to check for mites without any crawling on hands and knees!! We have put internal rollaway nest boxes so that the hens cannot sit on the eggs and we line the nest box with astro turf matting which makes for easy cleaning and disinfecting and has the added benefit of stopping the hen building a nest in the nest box and discouraging her from becoming broody. With the nest box being internal you have no leaking on the joints and have a handy storage cupboard to keep any treatments etc. As each hen house is individually made it can be altered to meet your specific needs and hen runs and fencing can be tailored to suit you.
