Chickens are becoming one of the most common domesticated
animals, being kept primarily for eggs.
Nowadays, they also make excellent pets which can become quite tame
with particular characters.  Chickens are low maintenance, the main tasks being to keep them
clean and protecting them from predators. Choose from our breeds and
their availabitiy below...Apart from the eggs, they are also useful in eating garden pests as they eat a wide variety of food, scratching for seeds and insects and eating grass, which makes a lovely rich, yellow yolk in the eggs. The droppings are a useful fertilizer. All our chickens come from our own breeder stock and hatching eggs so we know the parents of your hen, this is not only good practice it also ensures the hens we sell are of healthy, and the best quality you can get. We sell the hens at 16 weeks old and you can choose from the following list. All our hens are either 'available' or 'available for viewing' as we have the chicken or the young stock and breeder hens here on our Farm.
